They had been heading north annually for decades and continued to do so until the Games were suspended due to Covid. They were ever present on their seats at the finishing line and it was always with a sense of anticipation that we awaited their arrival every July. A warm and friendly person with a great sense of humour, her loss will be felt especially by Peter to whom she was married for 58 years but also by all of her family and legions of friends both in Yorkshire and beyond.
