The Games Committee is delighted to announce that our Guest of Honour for the 167th Games is Sauchie resident, John MacPherson DL. John was raised and educated in Alloa at what was then Forebraes School. He founded Alloa Hire Centre in Medwyn Place in Alloa and that company, now run by son Barry, continues in its Tullibody premises. John is well known across the county and beyond and is a very fine musician and his talents are much sought after all over the land. He is a Deputy Lieutenant and was introduced to HM the King when His Majesty visited The Gate on 16th January.AHC has been a loyal sponsor and supporter of the Games for over a quarter of a century and have supplied the Games with much needed tools and equipment in addition. The Committee is looking forward very much to welcoming John to the Johnstone Park on 12th July along with other members of his family to enjoy his big day with the Alva Games family.
