Report from the Church Hall
If it's Wednesday it is highly likely to be a prize bingo night at the Famous Alva Games. On a bitterly cold night, over 50 people made their way down to the warmth of the Church Hall tonight for the pre Easter bingo tea when the extra seasonal treats were on the half time plates.
We were a few stalwarts short due to illness and holidays so our thanks are due to all the people who threw themselves in to helping in all sorts of ways to making the night the huge success it was. The Treasurer was smiling as just a few pennies short of £350 was the total collected to support the 161st Games in July. There are just 3 bingo tea nights to go before the Games and once again they look set to provide the biggest single source of income to the Games funds.
Hope to see you all again on Wednesday 26th April. Should be a bit sunnier by then.
