While the arena seating was being erected in record time, the Prize Bingo was also setting records down in the Hall. Just shy of 70 players were in attendance and the amazing sum of £717 was raised for the Games. This did not just break the previous record - it smashed it into oblivion. Over the season, £3676 was raised which is a truly outstanding sum..
Thanks have to go to so many people for achieving this milestone, it would be invidious to single out any one individual. The team in the Hall, the callers and tellers, some of whom have been with us for over 30 years, the prize purchasers, the donors of prizes, the servers of teas and coffee. The list is endless but the Games Committee is truly indebted to each and every one of you.
While the sums raised are phenomenal, these nights are also about enjoyment and we hope that we have a winning formula but we are always open to any suggestions to make them better and better. This has been a superb season. We hope to see you all at the Games on 8th July. If not, then the next Eyes Down is at 7.30pm on Wednesday 27th September in our well settled and magnificent venue. Thank you, everyone. Bring on the Games. Bring on the September Bingo Tea.
