The Games Committee is delighted to be able to announce that the official guest of honour at this year's games will be the Chairman of the Scottish Section of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain, Philip Paris. He will be joining us on the day along with his wife Hayley to perform the opening ceremony and to join in the fun and games on offer. This is the first time that our Guest of Honour has been from the Guild and cements the very warm and co-operative relationship between the two organisations.

A little birdie has also informed us that the games will be the day after a "particular" birthday for Philip so we hope that he will enjoy his day with us and we are sure that there will be something to mark the occasion in an appropriate manner.
