The traditional fun fair - run as always by the Scottish Section of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain - which operates during games week has agreed to open for an extra night in 2006 to mark the 150th anniversary of the games. The rides and amusements will open at 6pm on the Tuesday evening (4th July) and nightly thereafter and from 12 noon on Games day itself.
