The Games Committee is delighted to announce that its long serving Treasurer and son of Alva, John Glencross, has been successfully nominated as a baton bearer for the 2014 relay which will be passing through the town in the afternoon of 25th June. 

Exact details of the timing and location of the section to be covered by John have still to be confirmed but it is a thoroughly appropriate recognition of all of the work John has done for the Games over more than 30 years and also in his life long dedication to Alloa Athletic FC and his stewardship of their match day programme.
