Increased Prize Funds for Hill Races 2015

1st Jun 2015

The Games Committee is delighted to announce that it has introduced separate and identical prize funds in all four Hill races to be run this year. The first six runners, male and female in the age restricted races and the first ten, men and women in the Championship race will ALL receive prize monies for the first time. In short, the main prize funds for these races has doubled.

This was made possible, in part, by the support of local solicitors, Comrie Law, who agreed to sponsor the Ladies Hill race as a separate event. The 6 places paid in the age restricted events brings the Hill races into line with the track events where 6 places are also paid. Our other existing Hill Race sponsors, watersrule, Kerry and Blyth Utilities have also been more than supportive in making these changes.

The Commitee was more than happy to bring Alva Games into line with many of the other meetings held under the BOFRA banner while retaining our higher level of place prizes than most other fixtures.
