Annual General Meeting 2011

The Annual General Meeting of the Alva Games Committee was held on on Sunday 30th October 2011 at 7.15pm in St John Vianney Church Hall, East Stirling Street, Alva. All existing committee members and office bearers were re-elected.

The 2011 Games had been extremely fortunate with the weather on the day during what had been the wettest summer in redcent memory and the President, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer all remarked upon how lucky we had been. The Games had been a financial success but with the losses incurred in 2010, the Games were now standing exactly where they had been prior to the 2010 meeting. No changes were planned for the entrance fees for 2012.

The office bearers extended their thanks to all of the people who had contributed throughout the year to the ongoing success of the Games and looked for ward to next year's meeting which will take place on Bastille Day and just two weeks before the start of the Olympic Games. What a way to start!!
